A piece of Squamish climbing history.

Established in 2008, the Grand Wall Bouldering Co-operative was the first climbing gym in Squamish.

At its inception, the Co-op was a psyched collective of climbers with a simple vision: to build a shared training wall to make climbing and training through those long and rainy Squamish winters possible. Together, they pitched in on rent, building materials, a small collection of climbing holds, and nothing but old rubber tires as ankle-savers.

Over the years, a few changes and improvements have been made: our climbing hold collection has grown, we added a squat rack, and oh, yes - the rubber tires have long since been replaced with modern foam. Yet to this day, the Co-op is, as the name suggests, a non-profit co-operative owned and operated by its members. Whether you’re an annual or seasonal member, your support gives you a share in the Co-op and a voice in its future.

Joining the Co-op means joining the Squamish climbing community. Come train with us, get psyched, and get strong!
